I’m Carlos, a software engineer based in Chihuahua, Mexico. I’ve spent most of my career in fintech — building the kind of infrastructure that moves money, validates accounts, and keeps regulators happy. I like backend problems, clean architecture, and tools that make other engineers’ lives easier. I’ve also written the occasional HTML for the frontend.

When I’m not at a keyboard I’m taking care of my wife and daughter, playing basketball, or running. Clojure, C# and Python are my happy places. This blog is where I think out loud about software.
